Ultimate frisbee is growing in popularity and so are our Charlotte ultimate leagues! Whether you're an experienced handler or completely new to the sport, you’ll find our recreational leagues to be a great way to stay active, make friends, and maybe try something new!

League Information

WHO CAN PLAY?

SportsLink invites all adults (18+) with an active membership (SL Passport) to participate in our leagues.

Regardless of your race, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, we invite you to come out and play with us!

FORMAT

Currently, all of our ultimate leagues are MIXED GENDER (Coed), but we do offer women's and men's tournaments.

5v5 MIXED GENDER/COED: Teams will field 5 players (at least 1 female) at a time. For more information about gender rules, please visit our Ultimate Rules.

SKILL LEVELS

All of our ultimate leagues are MIXED DIVISION, meaning there players of all skill levels. If we have enough teams to split the league, we will dedicate an A and B division.

PLAYER EXPERIENCE

Teams will be provided league administration and equipment for each game. All ultimate games are self-officiated.

Prizes will be distributed to the winning teams in each division, and all players with an active player's card can enjoy our monthly player perks.

Join us for the Spring Ultimate League at Veteran's Park!

We run two Thursday ultimate leagues simultaneously, and invite players to participate in both. Games will not overlap. You can register your team in the "Team League" and/or sign up as an individual in the "Hat League".

All players must have a valid player's card to participate.

NEW TO CHARLOTTE OR DON’T HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS FOR A TEAM?

SIGN UP FOR THE ULTIMATE HAT LEAGUE!

The Ultimate Hat League is an incredible way to meet and play with new people! How it works - players sign up individually and get drafted to a team that they play with for the entire season.

If you haven't played ultimate before, you get the benefit of playing with more experienced players that can teach you fundamentals and strategy. In fact, most of our current players had zero experience before joining this league, so they are super helpful to newbies!

BASIC LEAGUE INFO

Season: 7 games plus playoffs. Typically 8-10 weeks.
Start Times: Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm
Location: Dependent on the season and night of the week. Typically, Spring and Fall is played at Veterans Park while Summer is at Bryant Park.
Cost: $75 - includes league fee, 90 day SportsLink Player's Card and team t-shirt. (If you have an active SportsLink Players Card, we will add 90 days to the expiration date on your Player's Card).
Format: 5v5, the number of players per team is decided during the draft party.

HOW IT WORKS:

It's easy! Select the season you would like to register, fill out the form, and make your payment!

Our staff will contact you as we approach the new season to provide more information. (Please be aware that you may not be contacted immediately as the duration of our seasons can be affected by weather.)

We typically schedule pickup and the draft party 1 week before the season begins.

THINGS TO KNOW:

You must sign up and make payment in order to be considered and placed on a team.
Refer to the ticket options for the approximate seasons, but be aware that start dates may be delayed due to weather.
Please be aware that your registration DOES NOT GUARANTEE that we will be able to place you on a team. Teams are formed based on player and league availability. In the event we cannot place you on a team, we will provide a full refund.
